Plant Sale

On the day of the Garden Walks, the church parking lot will be the location where ticket holders pick up their garden guides and will have the opportunity to shop for perennial plants, hanging baskets and seeded plants.  All locally grown and many grown in our own gardens.

Growing from Seed?  Sue Timony-Hall is organizing our kids to start some seeds on April 7 at 4:00 pm.  Contact Sue if you’re interested in joining at ce@northmadisoncc.org!    Or grow your own tomatoes, basil, peppers, zinnias and or others of your choosing.

Suggested Perennials.  Some of the perennial plants that do very well in this area and have multiplied in your garden are:  bleeding heart, astilbe, coral bells, foxgloves, strawberries, bachelor buttons, Black-eyed Susans, hyacinth, primrose, wild violets, asters, daylilies, columbine and Jacob’s ladder.  Others may be ready for dividing:  Solomon’s seal, hostas, iris, or daylilies.  May and early June, as you prepare your gardens, is a great time to pot these plants.   Plastic pots will be available on May 1 for pick up at the church.  If you plan to donate plants or need help digging and potting, let Sue Kenney know.  Drop off potted plants the week of June 6.
