Vibrant Faith’s Thriving Congregations Initiative

An Invitation to Dream And Grow Together
Dear Friends,
North Madison Congregational Church has been fortunate enough to receive an invitation to be part of Vibrant Faith’s Thriving Congregations Initiative. We are one of six churches in New England that have been selected to participate! This project “seeks to equip churches to help congregations thrive by strengthening ministries that help churches deepen their relationships with God, enhance their connections with each other, and contribute to the flourishing of their communities and the world.” According to Vibrant Faith’s description, “Vibrant Faith’s Thriving Congregations Initiative is guided by a vision and practices of vital and vibrant congregations that is grounded biblically, theologically, and pastorally. This vision guides the formation of leadership and the development of project designs and resources to create thriving congregations.”
What does this mean? We have been invited to create a team that will develop new spiritual and community leadership capacities designed to continue to ensure and enrich our growth into a Thriving Congregation for generations to come. We need to select five or six folks who represent the diverse aspects of our congregation and who have the energy to work together with a coach to develop strategies for meeting the goals articulated above. To that end, the Executive Committee has approved a process similar to the process we used to form the Pastoral Search Committee. John Gallops, Roberta Hanlon, and Carol Luckenbach have agreed to serve as the Nominating Committee for the team.
Individuals may nominate themselves or be nominated by another member of the congregation. We will be providing a nomination form, along with additional information and guidance on what’s involved. Please be thinking about joining in this new venture and and complete the nominating form here, NMCCJFGNominatingForm
