All of our programs are play-based and rich in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical developmental experiences.  We  strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for children and their families.

Our classes offer a wide and varied curriculum and include many in house field trips.  We offer music and library on a regular basis and special visits from; Mystic Aquarium, Cool-ology Science, Bauer Park, a dentist,  a fire truck from the North Madison Volunteer Fire Company, and a end of the year bus ride ~ to name a few!

CNS offers the following programs:

  • “CIRCLE TOTS” is a program for 2-year olds and their moms/caregivers.  The program meets one or more days per week from 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.  Children develop independence and socialization in preparation for nursery school.  It is a great introduction to school and helps both the children and adults develop new friendships!

  • THREE-YEAR OLD PROGRAM: This program is offered to children who will be three years old by the end of the calendar year. It is a warm and nurturing preschool program that is often a child’s first school experience.  There is a strong focus on the social and emotional development of the children  in addition to cognitive, physical, and creative activities. This class is offered on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m and includes a snack and lunch from home. Children must be potty trained.

  • FOUR-YEAR OLD PROGRAM: This class is offered to children who will turn four early in the school year, thru five years old.  The main goals of the class are to encourage children’s love of learning, provide many opportunities to explore their world, and prepare for kindergarten.  We provide a wide variety of hands-on activities encompassing all areas of a child’s development.   This class is offered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m and includes a snack and lunch brought from home.

  • FIVE-YEAR OLD PROGRAM :  This class is offered to children who will turn 5 in the fall and winter months and will prepare them for kindergarten as they become active participants in the learning process.  Our play-based curriculum is designed for their individual developmental level and the children’s interests help guide the themes and hands-on activities.   This is offered as a four or five-day program from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and also includes a snack and lunch from home.

Ms. Dorota of Twinkletoes Music joins us for thirty fun-filled minutes of music and movement every week for the Three’s class and twice a month for the Four’s and Five’s classes.  Also, the children’s librarian from Scranton Memorial Library visits each of our classes for an engaging story time every month.

As a way to extend the day, CNS brings in outside instructors to offer After school Enrichment mini-sessions.  These 6 – 8 week sessions are optional for our students and run 45 – 60 minutes, once a week.  Examples of past mini-sessions include: Art with Kristen, Cool-ology, and Soccer.
