Who We Are and What We Believe

Our Purpose Statement
Experience a welcoming spiritual community seeking to deepen relationship with God through positive life change, caring for all creation, and sharing the joy of love and service.

The “Church at the Circle,” as we are often called, welcomes you to embrace the good news of God’s love and to share your gifts with our community of believers, regardless of age, race, heritage, or creed.  Our members come from diverse theological traditions and varied church backgrounds.  We are an Open and Affirming congregation that affirms affirms the worth and dignity of all creation.

At our weekly Sunday worship, held at 10:00 a.m., we celebrate God’s grace, and we support all in their journeys of faith with spoken word, inspirational music, lay participation, and Christian education.  We share frequent fellowship time together and host numerous enjoyable activities in the community. We strive to love our neighbors as ourselves and participate in many mission services with local and worldwide charities.

North Madison Congregational Church was founded more than 250 years ago.  The church proper, built in 1784, is six miles inland from the Connecticut shoreline and is a member congregation of the United Church of Christ.
