Music Opportunities

There are many opportunities for individuals to contribute to worship in a musical capacity.  If you play an instrument or want to get a group of people to play a spiritual piece, feel free to speak with Linda Juliani or Bill and Ann Clemmons.  Bill and Ann Clemmons’ lifetime of teaching and conducting band and orchestra in the Madison School system, as well as leading the Shoreline Youth Symphony, enables a level of instrumental participation that is quite unique within the church.

NMCC musicians at our Christmas Pageant

Musical offerings have included:  brass choir, small folk/bluegrass group, vocal and instrumental solos/duets, men’s/women’s choir, and church family orchestra.  Several members have also composed original music which has been shared within worship.

Intergenerational Choir

NMCC offers opportunities for children who love music to sing with our Intergenerational Choir made up of children who sing (and sometimes dance) several times a year with our adult choir.   Our Christmas Pageant and Christmas Eve family services include group songs, solos and duets, and a bell choir and carols on the piano.

Caroling at Columbus House, New Haven

If you love Christmas Caroling, we have 2 special events each year:  an evening of caroling where we visit church family members who need a bit of cheer and/or we head to Columbus House in New Haven early Christmas eve morning to share the joy of music while other members serve our guests breakfast.
