Director
Kathy joined Circle Nursery School in 2007, has led the 2 year old class, Circle Tots, since 2009 and began as Co-Director in the fall of 2011.  Kathy has a bachelor’s degree and, prior to working with children, worked in retail management.  She is currently taking Early Childhood classes and is pursuing her CT Director’s Credential.  Kathy and her husband have lived in Madison since 1993 and have 2 daughters, Julie and Emily.  In her free time, Kathy enjoys cooking, gardening and reading.
 
Little Known Fact:  Kathy is a certified Jazzercise instructor.

Amy
Amy has been a nursery school teacher for over ten years, and was very excited to join Circle Nursery School in 2014 as the Pre-K teacher. Amy has her Bachelors degree in Child Study and is a Connecticut certified head teacher. Amy is originally from New York City and now lives in Westbrook with her husband, her two teenage sons, and her chocolate lab. She enjoys taking long walks with her dog each day, gardening, and discovering new places in New England with her sons. Amy is very involved with Boy Scouts and is a merit badge counselor for Troop 7 in Clinton.
Little Known Fact: Amy was in charge of fundraising and construction of the Town Beach Playground in Clinton.                                                                                                                 
 Debbi

Debbi joined Circle Nursery School in 2014 as the Assistant Pre-K teacher.  She worked at another Nursery School for  five years until it closed.  Prior to teaching, she had a Licensed Child Care program in her home for 13 years.  She received her Child Development Associate Certificate in April of 2012 and her Head Teachers certificate in November of 2013.  She has three terrific daughters, and a beagle named Copper.  She loves to read and walk with her dog along the shoreline.

Little known fact: She loves Chinese food & Twizzlers!

Shannon
Shannon is the Lead Teacher in the three’s class.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College Lynch School of Education and continues to work towards her master’s degree at SCSU.  After college, Shannon returned home to teach fourth grade in Ledyard, Connecticut.  Together with her husband Bill, Shannon is privileged to be raising 5 children of her own in Madison. She enjoys running, baking, and skiing with her family.  
Little known fact:  Shannon tried surfing for the first time this summer!           

Amy Morrissey

Amy is the assistant teacher in the 3’s class. Although new to the CNS staff, all of her kids attended CNS,  so this is a very familiar place to her. Amy worked as an executive assistant at both The UCONN Health Center and Branford Dialysis, until taking the last seven years to stay home and raise her four children.   Amy and her family reside in Clinton where she is a very active volunteer in the school system. Some of her favorite things are watching her kids at their many activities, photography, entertaining and relaxing by the pool.

Little known  Fact: I was the first baby born in 1973 @ 12:01am…I love being a New Year’s Baby!

Kim Malary

Kim joined Circle Nursery School in the Fall of 2016 as an assistant teacher in the 3s class. Kim holds a Bachelors degree in Sociology with a concentration in Education. She is currently working on her Child Development Associate Certificate. Kim is the proud mother of three children and spends her time volunteering for her children’s schools, sports teams and religious education. Prior to starting a family, she worked as a Special Education teacher in Vermont.  Kim loves to spend time outdoors running, hiking with her dog, skiing, biking and being with her family in VT. 
Little known fact: Kim loves photography!
Debbie Edwards
Debbie joined CNS in February 2017 as an assistant in the 4’s class.  She holds an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and has worked with children since a teenager in several different capacities (nursery school teacher, Sunday School teacher, Madison Public School volunteer, Vacation Bible School volunteer, and babysitter).  She also works as the Sunday School Supervisor at First Congregational Church, Madison.  Debbie has lived in Madison since 2005 with her son and two daughters.  She enjoys reading, cooking and walking. 
Little Known Fact:  there are multiple sets of multiples in her family– her own son and daughter, sisters, grandmother and great-great grandfather are all twins!!
